Expert Therapy to Find Solutions as a Family
What is Family Therapy?
Family Therapy is unique in that it directs our attention away from the individual and individual problems and toward relationships and relationship issues. Therefore, the therapist is interested in how individuals interact within the family.
The therapist views the family as the whole and each individual member as a part of that whole. The therapist takes into consideration generational interaction, birth order, behavioral and communication patterns, family structure, and more.
Problems are not viewed as individual problems, but as family problems. Therefore, the therapist recognizes that the family can be the solution to their own problems, with the therapist serving as an agent of change. This approach to families is positive and takes a healthy view of a troubled situation.
